Born into a family of diplomats, Hans was raised in Germany and India, schooled in Switzerland and now calls Montreal his home. His fashion background comes from an international career in modeling which led to working as a fashion stylist, strategic image creator, production coordinator and producer. Hans Koechling is a rare breed, whose turn-key approach and international expertise are widely recognized in the fashion industry.

Accomplishments:
Hans is a long time collaborator of the Canada's Fashion Mart (CIMM), the Fur Council of Canada, Montreal Fashion Week, and of many Quebec and Canadian manufacturers and designers. He has also successfully launched designers at Mercedes Fashion Week (New York), CPD Igedo (Duesseldorf), Avenida Moda and Mercedes Fashion Week (Miami), and also produced several high profile events with the Fashion Design Council of Canada (FDCC) at Toronto’s LG Fashion Week.
1999 Hans executed and directed the historic fashion retrospective of China's Ancient Times (221 BC - to today) entitled CHINA MILLENNIUM. The exhibit was produced and staged with 36 models and an entire production team from China at Mercedes Fashion Week in New York. This event was created to highlight the influence of Chinese craftsmanship, manufacturing and textiles on designers worldwide.
Hans's portfolio includes events with such international fashion houses as Chanel, Hugo Boss, Escada, Diane Von Furstenberg, and renown Canadian retailers including Holt Renfrew, Harry Rosen, The Bay, Loblaw and Birks & Mayors.
2007 - 2008 Hans has collaborated with CTV's Fashion Television on its "red carpet meets the runway" TV specials during the Toronto International Film Festival. He directed two highly acclaimed televised runway shows: VALENTINO : "Fashion Television Celebrates Valentino" and DSQUARED2 : "Born In Canada, Made In Italy".
Throughout his career, Hans has given numerous interviews and his work has been covered by the international fashion press including Fashion Television (CTV), Fashion File (CBC), Cityline (Citytv), E-talk (CTV), MTV LIVE (MTV), DESIGN (TV5), VH1 STYLE (VH1), CNN STYLE (CNN), enRoute TV (Air Canada), FLASH (TQS), VOGUE, ELLE, Pellice Moda, COLLEZIONI, W Magazine, Flare, GQ, WWD and WGSN.
